1986 - Creation of Davis Acoustics

Michel Visan founds Davis Acoustics in Saint Maur-des-Fossés (94), Davis launches its first woofer-midrange with braided kevlar membrane: the 13KVL5A.

1988 - First DIY model : MV7

The model MV7 is the really first KIT designed by DAVIS Acoustics (3 way).

1989 - First TiCoNAl Magnet for the 20 TK8, still a legend !!

Launch of the 20TK8, an iconic model (semi full range drive unit). The same year : Development of the first automotive speaker.

1991 - The DIY model KRISTEL

It marks an important step in terms of awareness for Davis Acoustics. To this day, it is still available for purchase.

1993 - the really first floor standing speaker of DAVIS : DK200

Launch of the Davis Acoustics DK200, which is the brand’s first mounted speaker

1994 - Davis Acoustics is moving to Troyes

Due to the constant development of the business, Davis Acoustics moves (from the suburbs of PARIS) to Troyes.
The same year, Davis Acoustics launches the Ariane range and the Krypton model.

1998 - New factory

Recently installed in Troyes, Davis Acoustics establishes its production unit in the city center.

1998 - Best European car audio sound for DAVIS !

Davis Acoustics is awarded “Best European Sound” for its audio kit mounted in a Venturi MVS.

1999 - Best speaker of the year in RUSSIA : HAVALLON

Awarded to the Davis Acoustics Havalon by an audience of discerning audiophiles.

2002 - First Hi End speaker : la César

The Davis Acoustics Cesar is a counterflow model with a 31 cm (12″) woofer.

2005 - Launch of the first version of NIKITA : a fantastic 2 way speaker.

The Nikita was designed by Olivier Visan in 2005. Since then, he has developed all the models of the brand, including the Vinci and the Matisse.

2009 - The first state of the art speaker for DAVIS : KARLA

High-end model, as we read in the specialized press, the Karla is the concentrate of all the technologies developed by Davis Acoustics

2011 - Birth of the 20 DE8 : The full range...

Development of the 20DE8 full range speaker for the 25th anniversary of the brand.

2012 - Death of Michel Visan, founder of DAVIS

Death of the founder of Davis Acoustics. His wife Brigitte Visan, takes over the company.
Olivier Visan, his youngest son takes over the management of Davis in 2014.

2015 - New version of cone tweeter

Resulting from the research done for the Karla, this kevlar cone tweeter is mounted on the Davis Caesar HD.

2016 - the 30 years of the brand !

 Davis Acoustics is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

2017 - Welcome to BALTHUS, the best ratio quality/price of the market.

Davis Acoustics is upgrading its speaker lines and launching the Balthus series.

2018 - New logo for DAVIS
