The Courbet 3 S2 shares the same acoustic foundations as its larger sibling, the Courbet 4 S2, in a more compact bookshelf format. It uses a single 13 cm Kevlar cone woofer/midrange, paired with the 28 mm soft dome tweeter common to the entire Courbet S2 range. Thanks to its improved rear damping and reduced distortion, this tweeter delivers a smooth, natural and highly musical high-frequency reproduction. The design fully embraces the new Courbet aesthetic: -Flush-mounted front grille, recessed into the cabinet -Rounded vertical edges -Rounded grille corners -Availability in the four finishes of the range -The rear-firing bass-reflex port ensures good low-frequency extension. While the smaller internal volume does not allow the same bass depth as the floorstander, the low end remains present, clean and well controlled, resulting in a highly coherent and balanced overall sound. The Courbet 3 S2 is perfectly suited for high-quality compact stereo systems or as a front speaker in a premium home-cinema setup. A protective foam pad is glued beneath the cabinet, preventing scratches and providing an effective anti-slip surface for improved stability.
