130 RE2

The IN-WALL speaker, as the name suggests, is designed to be installed directly into a wall or ceiling. With its compact form factor and discreet design, it offers an elegant alternative to traditional, bulkier speakers.

One of the main advantages of these speakers is how easy they are to install. All models are designed for quick and simple setup. For example, the RE range requires only a rectangular cutout of 181 x 410 mm for the 130 RE2 model. To make things easier, each speaker comes with a paper template to guide you during installation.

Once the hole is cut, the protective grille can be removed using the small hook provided in the packaging. After wiring the speaker—either by soldering or using the built-in terminal block—all that’s needed is a Phillips screwdriver. Turning the 4 or 6 screws (depending on the model) activates small clamps that secure the speaker firmly into the wall or ceiling.

In terms of sound quality, while IN-WALL speakers aren’t meant to fully replace bookshelf models—which benefit from optimized enclosures and crossover networks—they are still engineered with care for excellent performance. RE models, for instance, include woven Kevlar fiber drivers and separate textile dome tweeters for enhanced clarity.

Thanks to the inherent design of these components, the speakers can perform well in various installation conditions, whether the rear space is large or limited. The bass response will vary depending on the available enclosure volume.

For optimal performance, a rear volume of 10 to 15 liters is recommended for the 130 RE2 model.
